Role – National Account Manager (Discounters & Online) Company – FMCG Challenger Brand (B Corp) Salary – £55000 - 65000k, bonus, pension, private medical care, life insurance, 25 days holiday Location – Hybrid (2 days per week in office in Bucks) Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a jaunt around the at-times-chaotic but always enticing aisles of Aldi or Lidl these days, checking out the latest deals, and securing their weekly big shop at a fraction of the price of the top four? With this NAM role, you can still do all that but with a whole new perspective. Because you won’t just be buying, but supplying too. Working for a B Corp certified challenger brand with a nutritious & nourishing range of plant based meals, you’ll be partnering closely with buyers and category managers, building compelling business plans to meet the needs of the shoppers and creating mutual value. This is a business in growth, and the discount channel is a big part of that. Supported by a dedicated and highly experienced commercial leadership team, you’ll be given full P&L responsibility over your channel, which currently equates to near 30% of company turnover. You’ll pick up Ocado too. Just to mix things up a bit. If you are an NAE or NAM who is craving more responsibility, a chance to prove yourself on £MM revenue accounts, with a clear path of development through to SNAM and Channel Head then here is the opportunity to do so. Sure, this is a challenging role – NAM roles are never easy. You’ll need the tenacity to break down a few doors and drive customer relationships; the confidence to be able to negotiate hard; the communications skills to work with internal colleagues and external teams to build actionable, insight led plans. And finally, the drive to get things done and the resilience not to lose heart on the more challenging days. We do need prior FMCG account management experience - but not loads of it. Most likely you’ll have been managing smaller accounts across either retailers, online, discount or high street channels, or perhaps supporting a SNAM on the grocery mults. Attitude counts for a lot. You’ll learn a fair bit of the rest on the job, I assure you. With a salary up from £55-£65k dependent on exp, bonus, 6% pension, 25 days holiday, life insurance, medical insurance and a whole host of other benefits, we want you to thrive here – and believe that you will.
