Job Purpose Reporting to the Head of Technical the Quality Manager assists the in day-to-day functions and duties of the technical, H&S and environmental team ensuring that businesses comply with food law and health and safety legislation. Providing excellent service and dealing with challenging situations calmly and effectively to achieve positive outcomes. Ability to communicate clearly with business owners and their staff, members of the public, other agencies, customers, suppliers, auditing bodies and other council officers at all levels. Duties include: - Implementation, enforcement, and maintenance of quality standards including training of relevant departments. - Management of the QMS documents (relevant, up to date, compliant with customer requirements), documents control, reviews and issuing documents to online system. - Management of the product control from intake to dispatch - Management of non-conforming product, effective internal and external NCR system across the site - Management of the internal concessions system - Management and application of GMP, housekeeping and hygiene rules across the site. - Management of the Pest control contractor with effective communication to the site - Implementation of the controls related to finish product packaging control and labelling. - Implementation of the allergen control across the site - Management of the calibration schedule - Management of weight control - Traceability management - Claims management - Ad hoc duties outlined by your manager. DECISION-MAKING Decision making will generally be referred to the Head of Technical however the individual in this role will be responsible for pest control, the technical indicators and audit actions will be expected to make decisions in these areas before escalating to the Technical manager if necessary.
