The Head of Cyber Security Operations and Response is responsible for ScottishPower Renewables cybersecurity, including managing the Security Operations Centre, threat prevention and incident detection and response.
This role will lead an active and ambitious global cyber security function, contributing to the cyber security purpose of delivering cyber resilient OT and IT to enable a safe and reliable electricity supply to customers. The role will act as the NIS Cyber Operational Lead reporting to the BISO, providing a critical role in SPR’s ambitious cyber resilience programme.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* You’ll be expected to lead on new and specialist techniques, working cross industry, and helping to advance our understanding of technical risk.
* You’ll plan, direct, and control the hybrid security operations functions and operation, leading and managing the Security Operations and team of security operational staff members, being responsible for overall use of resources for the Security Operations Centre.
* The team will consist of various cyber security functions such as threat intelligence, response & recovery and threat detection.
* You’ll be responsible for managing cyber risk in order to protect the company, customers and employees as well as hold responsibility for all OT SOC functions.
* Leading day-to-day OT Cyber security operations and assisting with implementing new OT cyber security technologies and practices, this role will be responsible for directing security event monitoring, management and response and cyber intelligence.
Other Aspects Of The Role Include:
* Direct the Cyber Intelligence capability to identify potential threats to SPR delivering strategic reports and strategies to minimise the impact of the threat.
* Accountable for the OT SOC strategy and future vision.
* Ensuring compliance.
* Evolving the current Security Operations Framework, reviewing policies and highlighting the challenges in managing SLAs.
* Ensuring the orchestration and integration of security services and platforms to maximise its usage and coverage.
* Ensuring threat management, threat modelling, identifying threat vectors and developing use cases for security monitoring.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in planning, directing and controlling SOC functions and operations.
* Leading and managing a Security Operations and team of security operational staff members.
* Significant skills and experience in understanding at a very technical level security operations.
* Awareness of key legislation and regulation impacting IT/OT General Control requirements in an energy utility.
* Experience managing senior stakeholders.
* Record of academic achievement, including some form of recognised qualification from further education, such as a degree or diploma.
