Female Support Worker
Hawick
We are offering an hourly rate of £12.32. Shifts will be 24hrs a week; week 1; 09.30-4.30 Monday, 08.30-5.30 Wednesday & 8.30-5.00 Friday. Week 2; Wednesday 08.30-5 and then 6-9.30pm, Saturday 9-3.30 Sunday 11-4.30 (every other weekend.)
Due to a change in circumstances, we are looking for a female support worker to join our team based in Hawick! We are looking for a compassionate and empathic Support Worker for a young lady in Hawick who is Autistic and needs a nurturing and encouraging peer.
About the Role:
Our Service user is Autistic and displays anxious behaviours with new routines, structures, or challenges. She needs a nurturing individual to encourage her to complete tasks and try new things.
The successful Support Worker will support in household tasks and maintenance of tenancy and provision of nutritious meals advice on healthy eating.
Our service user loves shopping and is very set in her ways, so someone who can encourage her to try new shops and experiences would be great.
No personal care is necessary for this role as this lady is able to do so independently, however when required she will need support with washing her hair.
About Them:
Our service user is a young lady who likes to have routine. She likes to go shopping and LOVES bingo! She currently goes to Bingo once a fortnight and this falls into the Wednesday evening shift of the rota, you will be expected to go and support. We hope to increase this to a weekly activity.
She is able to communicate verbally and understand what is going on around her. He requires consistent communication and reassurance.
