Job summary CNWL NHS FT, Milton Keynes Community Health Services Clinical Director of Dental Services Full Time permanent 37.5 hours per week The post holder will be the Clinical Lead for Buckinghamshire Priority Dental Service (BPDS) and will ensure a comprehensive range of oral health care services is provided for priority groups that may include people with learning difficulties, physical handicaps, mental health problems, medically compromised, severe anxiety or phobias. Services include sedation and general anaesthesia, domiciliary care, provision of oral health care to those in local secure settings, screening and epidemiology and oral health promotion. Main duties of the job Provision of comprehensive oral health care for adults and children with special needs and other priority groups (e.g. patients in secure units, looked after children) as agreed with local commissioning. Advice and treatment of patients referred both from outside the service but also from dentists within BPDS, Providing support and taking part in supervision and training of clinical staff.
