Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and hard-working person to join the Fracture clinic team.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities:
* Provide high standards of individualised nursing care for patients by working under the supervision of orthopaedic practitioners, assessing, planning and implementing treatment plans.
* Assist in the preparation and/or undressing of patients prior to treatment, ensuring that the patient’s comfort, privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
* Assist in the support of relatives and visitors.
* Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and be aware of the sensitive nature of some of the information received.
* Deal with face-to-face and telephone enquiries or complaints and refer to a senior member of the team as appropriate.
* Work in specialised areas such as ED/ Clinics as required alongside trained Orthopaedic Practitioners.
* Recognise, report and appropriately escalate any concerns or risks, asking for support from senior staff as required.

Qualifications
* GCSE English Language and Maths D equivalent
* NVQ Diploma level 2 in Clinical Health Support or equivalent
Experience and Knowledge
* Broad clinical knowledge base.
* Understanding of the importance of professional behaviour at all times.
* Experience of working within a team.
* Experience in orthopaedic care.
* Previous outpatient setting experience.
Skills and Knowledge
* Ability to adapt appropriately to different situations.
