Department: Music Location: Horley, Surrey Contract: Full-time, Permanent Job Title: Music Teacher ABOUT THE ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES This role involves planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Stage 5 experience (A-Level Music, BTEC Music, or similar) is advantageous, but not essential. You will: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Assess and record student progress, providing constructive feedback. Create a positive and inclusive classroom that fosters musical creativity and performance. Collaborate with colleagues in the Music department and across the school. Contribute to and lead extra-curricular music activities (choirs, orchestras, bands, etc.). Organize student performances. Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians. Ensure adherence to all safeguarding policies. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and 4. Proficiency in at least one musical instrument and/or voice. A genuine passion for music and the ability to inspire students. Excellent classroom management skills. A commitment to student progress. A collaborative spirit and willingness to contribute to the school community. A commitment to ongoing professional growth.
