The Ward Clerk will provide a comprehensive clerical service and administration support to the Nursing staff across the Bryn Y Neuadd Site. The provision of an efficient clerical service is essential to ensure the speedy admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
The work spans Mental Health and Learning Disability Services and includes a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks for example, producing minutes for a range of meetings including complex MDTs, pre admissions, organising complex timetables of activities, booking training and ordering for all units through NHS supply systems such as Oracle.
Main duties of the job
By the nature of the duties, the Ward Clerk will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients and relatives with courtesy and discretion at all times.
The Ward Clerk is responsible to the Ward Managers in providing an efficient clerical service across the wards.
For accountability and development purposes, the Ward Clerk will be under the direct responsibility of the Administration Manager.

1. Good standard of education - English and Mathematics GCSE Grade D or above, or equivalent
