Role Overview
Our client is a leading construction contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong commercial mindset to join their team. The role will be based in their head office in Warrington with responsibilities covering the North West region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring milestones, deadlines, and deliverables are met, with clear plans and resource allocation.
2. Manage project budgets and allocate resources effectively to maintain financial control.
3. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project.
4. Proactively identify and resolve risks to minimize project delays.
5. Work with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to manage all project aspects.
6. Ensure project work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations and contracts.
7. Provide regular progress, budget, and risk reports to senior management.
8. Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and work closely with the H&S team.
9. Conduct reviews and ensure smooth handover to operations or maintenance teams.
Experience
Commercially driven Project Manager with 2-3 years of project management experience. Preferred background within the rail industry. Proven track record in maintaining and developing strong relationships with key clients. Skilled in managing projects, including overseeing P&L, applications, and variations. Strong contractual knowledge, with experience working with NEC 3 & 4 and JCT contracts. Proficient in creating Tender and Construction Programs. Experienced in tracking and monitoring company projects on a monthly basis to support accurate forecasting. Capable of contributing to larger tender submissions. Providing assistance with company compliance and supporting ISO and RISQS audit preparations.
