Job Description:
Senior Flood Risk Consultant - position available for our client out of their Henley-on-Thames office. Due to increased workload in this medium sized multi site consultancy they are looking for a Senior / Principal Flood Risk Consultant to play a key role in leading and managing flood risk assessment projects, providing technical expertise, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.

* Lead and manage complex flood risk assessment projects from inception to completion.
* Provide technical direction and oversight to project teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
* Conduct detailed FRAs, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, and drainage analysis.
* Present findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner.
* Ensure all flood risk assessments adhere to relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines.
* Stay informed about changes in legislation and advise clients on compliance requirements.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and environmental scientists, to integrate flood risk considerations into broader projects.
* Contribute to the development of proposals.
* Participate in business development activities to expand the client base and promote the company's flood risk management services.
* A degree or similar in hydrology, physical geography or a flood risk related discipline.
* 5+ years' experience within Flood Risk.
* Experience in supporting a wider team in assessing all sources of flooding, ready to embrace complex problems.
* Understanding hydrology estimation (e.g. FEH).
* Experience with modelling packages - Flood Modeller, TuFLOW, Microdrainage, etc.
* Experience in producing FRAs and SuDS.
* Software knowledge including GIS, AutoCAD or Site3D.
* Sound understanding and interpretation of flood risk policy and legislation.
* Excellent project management and organizational skills.
