About the role:
Our Store Managers are at the heart of keeping our stores thriving. They are known for putting customers first and for inspiring their store team to deliver a memorable shopping experience. You'll not just be a store manager, but you will play an active part in engaging and building relationships with your community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take overall accountability for your store and team, ensuring a great customer experience is being delivered and the highest standards are being adhered to.
2. Provide excellent leadership to your team to create a high-performance culture.
3. Be a positive role model to the team and advocate the co-op values.
4. Lead the team to drive sales, memberships and community engagement.
5. Drive people-related activities such as training, development and performance, whilst still being hands-on within the store when needed.
6. Be actively involved with social initiatives and volunteering hours to support your local community.
Your shift pattern may include some evenings and weekends, but we value your time outside of work and we'll make sure your rota is available 4 weeks in advance - giving you peace of mind to be able to make the most of your days off.
Who are we looking for?
You will need:
* Experience within retail management, preferably in a food store setting (required).
* Strong leadership experience and ability to inspire teams through leading by example (desirable).
* To be customer-focused, in order to deliver effective and efficient store experiences.
* Commercial and business acumen.
* Natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.
* To be self-assured, organised and able to multi-task.
