Finance / Payroll Administrator Annual Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 Location: Stanford-le-Hope Job Type: Full-time, Office-based We are seeking a dedicated Finance / Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role involves a range of duties from managing payroll processes to providing administrative support to the accounting department, including handling purchase ledger tasks. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in payroll and a keen eye for detail. Day-to-day of the role: Provide information and answer employee queries regarding payroll-related matters. Manage electronic timekeeping systems or manually collect and review timesheets. Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions. Prepare and issue earnings statements. Issue paychecks and manage direct deposits. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Coordinate with the HR department to ensure correct employee data is maintained. Provide administrative assistance to the accounting department. Analyse financial records to identify errors and discrepancies. Regularly update all accounting ledgers and journals. Handle purchase ledger tasks including processing invoices and reconciling supplier statements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Must have significant payroll experience. Proficient in managing large sets of financial data and reporting on financial results. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information.
