The People & Culture Specialist will have responsibility to counsel and coach managers in all matters relating to HR policies, procedures and systems. The candidate will be required to partner with the business on performance improvement plans, employee relations, and operational workforce issues.
The People & Culture Specialist will have to build and develop collaborative relationships with managers and employees at all levels to provide appropriate support and guidance. They will work with and support our Employee Relations Lead along with our People & Culture In-Country Team when required.
This position is thirty-five hours per week. However, due to the nature of this role, hours may vary in line with the needs of the business.
What you bring
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
General:
1. Foster and sustain strong relationships with managers and employees, delivering a proactive and trustworthy service on various employment matters while appropriately questioning and challenging when necessary.
2. Support the People & Culture team with the full employee lifecycle activities, from recruitment through to exit.
3. Build strong working relationships with all People & Culture colleagues, collaborating to deliver the best possible HR service to the business. Actively contribute to identifying and implementing more efficient ways of working.
4. Monitoring, reviewing, and updating all HR policies and Employee Handbook and ensuring these are in line with current legislation.
Employee Relations and Advisory:
1. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on best HR practice and HR policies and procedures.
2. Assist with employee relations and advisory matters, such as maternity and family-friendly processes, performance management, absence, disciplinary actions, grievances, and restructures. This involves attending meetings, taking notes, and leading when appropriate.
3. Provide coaching and training to managers on effective employee relations practices, conflict resolution, and performance management.
4. Leverage HR management information to identify areas of concern and guide managers in engaging more effectively with people processes.
5. Stay updated with employment laws and regulations, providing guidance to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
6. Assist with the preparation of files for the Employment Tribunal.
7. Collate reports relating to absence and employee relations matters on a monthly basis.
Regulatory/SMCR:
1. Provide registration and de-registration support for SMF and certified roles.
2. Collate required SMCR application documentation and track progress.
3. Support the Appointed Representative regime meeting all FCA and PRA requirements.
Other:
1. Use HR management information to highlight areas of concern or issue and to help influence proactive, positive steps to enhance company culture.
2. Participate in HR projects such as Performance Management, Employee Engagement, and Team Development, taking ownership of specific initiatives.
3. Respond to any data breach incident and Subject Access Request as per related policies.
4. Support the Country People & Culture team in day-to-day operations.
5. Support client audits from time to time.
6. To manage or assist with relevant ad-hoc projects as required by the People & Culture Country Lead.
7. Partner with external immigration advisers to initiate and manage visa applications, ensuring compliance with immigration regulations.
8. Other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected.

5. Experience of advising and dealing with senior management.
6. Demonstrable experience in Employee Relations, working within a fast-moving environment.
7. Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word & Powerpoint.
Desirable:
1. Experience of SAP Success Factors.
2. Experience of working within a Contact Centre or an operational platform with a high volume of activity.
Educational Requirements:
1. Educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent.
