Food Production Operative - Weekends Nights

Permanent 36 hours (Fri, Sat, Sun 6pm to 6am)
£16.21 + Overtime available
Reporting to: Production Line Coordinator / Production Shift Manager
The Production Key Operative is expected to work effectively as part of a team to produce a range of products as required. All jobs to be carried out in a safe, hygienic and efficient manner, ensuring the quality of the product at all times in keeping with the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety, Hygiene and Quality Policies and Procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Promote safety in the workplace and comply with legislation, identify risk areas to management for resolution.
2. Line optimization and line startups.
3. Adherence to quality control checks and measures, including raising Non-Conformances to your supervisor.
4. Be an expert in at least two key skills in production and be able to train others.
5. Assist in any production Key Operative/Operative duties as requested.
6. Co-operate in personal training and development program in accordance with the Company's Training Policy and Procedure.
7. Assist in the training and development of fellow team members.
8. Liaise with supervisors to ensure production plan is adhered to.
9. Ensure customer orders are achieved efficiently, on time and ensure the correct quantity is delivered.
10. Incident management such as finding foreign bodies on the line or in a product, glass and plastic breakage and accidents, following the correct escalation process to the Line Coordinator.
11. No errors or omissions in paperwork. (All fields to be filled in correctly and in a timely manner)
12. Work on a range of machines to produce product as required.
13. Responsible for the cleanliness and housekeeping of working area and machinery.
14. Responsible for the quality of the product produced.
15. Assist in any cleaning duties as requested.
16. Work at a sufficient rate to meet the day's production requirements to operational specification and produce goods to the required quality standards.
17. Always adhere to the factory hygiene requirements whilst carrying out duties.
18. Promote and maintain the Company Equal Opportunity Policy to ensure a neutral and harmonious working environment.
19. Carry out all duties in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company's Health & Safety and Food Safety Policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and fellow team members.
20. Any other duties requested by the Production Line Coordinator or any other member of Management.
21. Work directly with your supervisor and ensure that Operatives are on the line at all times, covering one another for breaks and activities during breaks.
Requirements
1. Ideally worked in a Food Manufacturing environment.
2. Hold Level 2 Food Hygiene (can be completed online).
3. Good work ethic.
4. Excellent time keeping.
5. Team player.
Holidays
20 days - the site is open on bank holidays except for Christmas day.
