We are Chester Zoo and we exist to help nature not just survive, but thrive. The Role We now have an exciting new role for a Marketing Manager with experience in hotels and venues to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Brand & Marketing Manager, with the support of the wider team, you ll lead marketing across our new hotel and other venues across audiences and channels. We re looking for someone who can: Lead on the research, development, and dissemination of insight for the hotel and venues across leisure, corporate and wedding audiences working across hotel specific customer segmentation, brand, market insight, visitor research and channel performance. Provide clear evaluation of insight and provide regular reporting alongside strategic recommendations for the hotel board, Marketing Director and operator. Develop the cross-channel strategies for the hotel in line with objectives and in conjunction with other areas of the organisation as required. Develop the brand strategy for the hotel and venues in conjunction with managers and flow this into campaigns and the end-to-end visitor experience in conjunction with the General Manager and commercial teams. Lead business development within marketing for the hotel, working with DMOs to drive the positioning of the hotel both nationally and internationally as part of city and regional visitation strategies. Develop the customer offering for the hotel in conjunction with the operator in order to ensure that the hotel positioning and experience capitalises on market trends and is maximised in terms of opportunities in conjunction with the main zoo offering (eg package development / seasonal occasions). Lead all marketing and advertising across above and below the line channels from strategy through to creative campaign development, delivery, and evaluation. Manage all content development for the hotel across design, photography, video and production as well as the social media channels for the hotel and venues. Manage the content creation for the hotel and venues and manage a range of suppliers and partnerships to ensure quality, productivity and value for money is continuously improved including suppliers covering creative, media, studios, production, research and print. Experience in the leisure/hotel sector, experience managing both B2C and B2B audiences preferred Experience in brand strategy, planning and management of brand campaigns, including experience in high profile brands Extensive proven experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing campaigns across a range of channels Knowledge of the changing media and digital landscape, including dynamic pricing of media and sustainable practices. Knowledge of digital marketing including proven experience managing social media Experience in managing creative development and delivery including knowledge of design, artwork and print production processes. Experience managing (or working within) agencies including the negotiation and purchase of creative services and media. Experienced in income planning, forecasting, and managing budgets, demonstrating clear ROI across activity. Experience of providing reports to senior directors and trustees to inform decision making. Leadership, team building and persuasion skills. Highly strategic and business orientated Excellent presentation and communication skills. Creative thinker. Statistical analysis and reporting skills.
