Brief Description
The Business Systems Team sits within the Finance and Business Support function within Route Services. We have 3 teams within the Business Systems Team: Projects, Development, and Support. This role sits within the projects team; we are here to support the implementation and adoption of new web systems for our customers in Supply Chain Operations and Contracts & Procurement. We help our customers write system requirements and find the best fit solution as well as manage the development life cycle, implement a change plan, and train users. Our customer base is spread across England, Scotland, and Wales; therefore, travel may be required for this role.
About the role (External)
To provide training, project, and business change management support to the business in respect of Route Services owned systems.
What will you be doing?
* Manage business change activity in line with project delivery to embed adoption of new systems and enhancements.
* Manage project implementation through the project delivery lifecycle and manage key stakeholders to set and meet achievable timescales.
* Engage with key stakeholders to understand and document business requirements, work with suppliers/in-house development teams to provide solutions to support business processes.
* Provide strategic and tactical advice to functions in relation to business systems to enable informed decision making.
* Manage the system testing processes, test new systems and upgraded systems so that they correctly validate and verify the business requirements.
* Assist in the identification and implementation of Network Rail and Route Services quality and efficiency improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement and LEAN ways of working within the business.
* Co-ordinate and facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions including user groups, workshops and drop-in sessions to build customer relationships and provide regular customer communication channels.
* Develop training plans and materials, schedule and deliver systems training to users of Route Services owned systems, providing users with the knowledge and access relevant for their role.
