My client, a well-respected regional firm based in Warwickshire, is seeking an experienced Family Paralegal to join its dynamic and supportive team at its Coventry office. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a firm known for its high staff retention and positive, collaborative working environment. As a Family Paralegal, you will have the chance to be exposed to a broad range of private family work, including but not limited to divorce proceedings, financial settlements, child arrangements, and domestic abuse cases.
You will assist experienced solicitors in managing their caseloads while also taking responsibility for your own files, under supervision, in line with your experience and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the Family Law team with a varied caseload of private family law matters
2. Drafting legal documents, including divorce petitions, consent orders, and applications for child arrangements
3. Liaising with clients, courts, and other third parties, ensuring excellent client care throughout the legal process
4. Preparing case bundles and managing key dates
5. Conducting legal research to support the family solicitors
6. Ensuring timely and efficient progression of cases from instruction to completion
Candidate Requirements:
1. Previous experience working within a Family department at a UK private practice law firm
2. Excellent organisational and time-management skills
3. Strong communication and client-care skills
4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
5. A proactive and diligent approach to work, with high attention to detail
