Crane and Lifting Gear Field Service Engineer
Salary: £45,000 + van & pension
Location: Staffordshire
Join a small, close-knit team as a Crane and Lifting Gear Service Engineer. Our management understands the importance of realistic workloads, ongoing training, and providing the right equipment to ensure the job is done effectively.
Compensation:
1. £45,000 to £48,000 total earnings made up of approximately £40k basic plus approximately £5k from overtime and paid travel time.
2. Additional benefits include a van, pension, and paid holidays.
3. Overtime and paid travel time can contribute around £5,000 to your earnings.
4. Work primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional overnight stays required.
5. Utilize modern equipment including Demag systems, Siemens controls, camera guidance, and digital alignment devices.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Visiting industrial sites to service overhead cranes and lifting gear.
2. Perform routine safety checks, servicing, and replacing moving parts.
3. Assist colleagues with the installation of new equipment.
4. Troubleshoot issues and carry out repairs.
5. Upgrade and modify existing equipment.
6. Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
