Job summary Southwell Medical Centre are looking to recruit a full time medical receptionist to join our busy, friendly reception team. This role will be part time hours (20 hrs per week) with a working pattern of: Tuesday 08:00am to 6:30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break Wednesday 08:00am to 6.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break However there is a requirement for flexibility to cover some early mornings from 7.15am, some evenings up to 8pm and occasional Saturdays between 9am and 5pm. Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience of working as a receptionist in general practice but will consider other candidates with similar skills/experience. Main duties of the job This role includes the day to day workload of a busy GP practice reception team. This will involve, but is not limited to, handling calls coming into the surgery, booking appointments, helping with general enquiries, processing prescription requests, dealing with ad-hoc queries from patients, secondary care, community care and other settings, supporting the management and clinical teams with enquiries and tasks, processing patient registrations and more. About us Southwell Medical Centre is a training Practice and we currently look after a patient population of around 12300 patients. We have a friendly team that consists of 4 GP partners, 4 Salaried GPs, 2 ACPs, 4 Nurses, 1 HCA, 2 Nurse Associates, 2 Phlebotomy staff, 4 dispensing staff, 2 clinical pharmacists, 1 FCP, 1 GP Trainee currently, 8 reception staff and a team of 5 currently within our administration/secretarial team. We are also supported by other PCN roles.
