Casual Leisure Attendant
Sanquhar Fun Pool
£12.96 per hour
We have opportunities to join the team at Sanquhar swimming Pool as a member of our Leisure Attendant team. As part of this fantastic opportunity the successful candidates can be provided with full RLSS lifeguard qualification training if required.
We are seeking a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of a team carrying out general leisure attendant duties always ensuring customer safety, lifeguarding, communicating effectively with members of the public and other staff, undertaking cleaning duties and setting up and dismantling of sports equipment in a safe environment.
The successful candidates will be based at Sanquhar Fun Pool where they will assist in actively promoting the facility and wider Leisure and Sport activities..
Prior to interview the post holder must be able to demonstrate the ability to achieve the following:
1. Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
2. Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back
3. Tread water for 30 second in deep water
4. Surface dive to the pool floor as well as jump/dive into deep water
5. Climb out of the pool unaided
Candidates achieving the above pre course requirements who do not hold a lifeguard qualification must attend a pool lifeguard course on the following dates
Friday 7th – Sunday 9th February
Friday 14th – Sunday 16th February
Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd February.

Course sessions times will be as follows;-
Fridays 4pm – 9pm
Saturday 9am – 3pm
Sunday 8am – 1pm
You will be required to attend regular staff training sessions as part of the requirement of this post.
