About the Role:
As an RME Technician at Amazon, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability of our equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of our fulfillment centers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment
* Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse
* Use the latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
* Uphold all health and safety policies and practices
* Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices
* Work on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites
A Day in the Life:
As an RME Technician, you will be based on-site, allowing you to respond quickly to any machinery issues. You will carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites' equipment to ensure it is working safely. You will also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible.
Working alongside senior colleagues, you will undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks like painting and plumbing and will liaise with contractors if you need external expertise. You will work on a range of shifts to ensure our sites are supported around the clock – allowing Amazon to deliver at the speed we are known for.

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We are a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers.
From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site to repairing key distribution equipment, our team handles most aspects of Amazon's technical side. This includes keeping buildings legally compliant, so everyone is safe, and our sites are operating at maximum efficiency.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification
* Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
* Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
* Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
