The role:
So as Marketing Manager, brand will be your focus and one of your first roles will be to evaluate what is currently in place and devise and execute a marketing strategy to support the positioning and messaging. This is a standalone role, so we are looking for someone who is highly experienced, but who is also very hands on, as there is no plan currently in placed to recruit more junior team members. You’ll be responsible for leading and facilitating the global marketing activities for the UK, US and other key regions, managing and maintaining the brand image and identity across all external communications. You’ll be responsible for all marketing assets and content planning across all digital platforms (websites, flyers, social media etc.)
Events will be a key part of your role and you’ll coordinate conferences and webinars and associated promotions, including logistics, across the UK, US, Europe and Asia and you’ll also coordinate all internal communications working with stakeholders across the business to develop communications plans. Social media and website maintenance will also fall within your jurisdiction, and you’ll also be responsible for budget management.
What we’re looking for:
We’re really looking for a marketer who has worked within the engineering or another heavily technical industry previously to a high level, someone who can demonstrate being the lead marketer within an organisation who also has budget skills but critically is also happy to implement their own strategy.
There will be a good amount of travel within the role, both within the UK and internationally and whilst this will always be planned it, you must be happy to travel. Strong copywriting and editing skills are essential as is experience of event management. Any element of working with global brands would also be a real advantage.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, 3 days in the office. There’s a real flexibility over start and finish times, and as this is an engineering firm, they close at lunchtime on a Friday. Salary for the role is up to £60k and there’s a lots of other softer benefits available.
