We recognize that decarbonizing our electric and gas systems will require resolving many questions and seeking new partnerships, technologies and transformative investments. Over the next 5 years, we will be investing over £60bn across our UK and US businesses – nearly double the investment over the past 5 years. Given this backdrop, our supply chains are facing an unprecedented set of challenges and are at the forefront of our plans, placing National Grid Procurement at the centre of our Net Zero goals. What You'll Do
* Engage with Stakeholders: Collaborate with key stakeholders to fully understand and support category strategies, providing supply chain risk insights that drive both immediate and long-term value for National Grid.
* Innovate Solutions: Engineer creative solutions that leverage existing tools while proposing new opportunities to enhance transparency and evaluation of our supply chain, creating efficiencies and valuable insights for stakeholders.
* Deliver Impactful Reporting: Provide regular reports and insights to supplier relationship managers and the global procurement leadership team, highlighting supply chain risks, market insights, evaluated products, and the value being delivered.
* Data-Driven Insights: Harness internal and external data to develop improved processes for category intelligence, empowering stakeholders to make actionable decisions that lead to meaningful impact.
* Enhance Global Performance: Elevate the global perspective on the performance of National Grid’s critical and strategic supply chain, identifying and reporting on supply chain risks, category markets, supplier performance, and opportunities to achieve strategic goals.
* Continuous Improvement: Implement processes for performance data analysis and insights to support and initiate continuous improvement measures across the supply chain.
* Manage Supply Chain Transparency: Ensure real-time visibility of supply chain risks, offering active and alternative counter-measure options that enhance procurement operational effectiveness.
What You'll Bring
* Supply Chain Risk Expertise: Bring your experience as a Supply Chain Risk Analyst, with the ability to evaluate and manage global Third Party Risk Management processes and systems effectively.
* Relationship Building: Demonstrate your ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the business, including liaising with and influencing senior management stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.
* Global Market Analysis: Leverage your experience as a global market analyst to prepare compelling presentations that deliver key insights and articulate solution options in a meaningful way, supporting our procurement strategies.
* Information Intelligence Development: Utilize your expertise in developing and managing information intelligence processes to identify the current state and forecast market opportunities, providing realistic options for the business.
* Supply Chain Management Background: Bring a solid background in supply chain management, global sourcing, market trends, and insights, along with experience in business collaboration within global enterprise environments.
* Motivated Self-Starter: Be a motivated, resourceful self-starter with a strong understanding of market analysis, ERP system tools, third-party software, data normalisation, and proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
What You'll Get
A competitive salary between £46,415 – £54,703 dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
More Information
* This role is offered on a Full-Time, Permanent basis.
* We are also offering hybrid /flexible working where travel to the office will be as per business need. Base location for this role will be National Grid House, Warwick.
* It is anticipated that some international business travel may be required as part of this role.
