I&C is a £6 billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager (Indirect) to join our team. For this role, you will be responsible for renewing and prospecting existing and new business to deliver EBIT to I&C through complex energy risk management deals with Corporate & Strategic Market third parties and clients. The role holder will sell structured, highly complex or bespoke products to higher value, complex third parties and clients, including electricity supply, gas supply, metering solutions, risk management services, and Energy Management Solutions. This role is homebased, with nationwide travel required (car allowance provided). Key responsibilities Identify and manage high level critical strategic stakeholder relationships across key/partnership third parties to ensure ongoing and future negotiations are supported at Senior Management levels. Prospect opportunities to grow the sector through the delivery of energy supply and E agreements to deliver a sales revenue of target. Ensure accuracy of all account data across the team to maintain sustainable supply and value add pipelines across the portfolio. Create and manage team plans to deliver agreed business target in terms of revenue, EBIT, volume. Identify cross-sell opportunities to broaden the value of the customer base. Utilise industry knowledge and expertise to develop a wide range of high-level external networks that will build and enhance I&C’s reputation, highlight capabilities and ultimately generate opportunities that will add value to the bottom line. Deliver deals that are fully compliant with the agreed DOA and approvals process and minimise rework. Ensure account managers are focused on delivery of the best customer experience through the customer on-boarding experience. What we need from you A strong understanding of the UK Energy Market specifically skilled in development, negotiation, and execution and of complex products and contractual and financial and credit management tools. Strong commercial and technical competence with substantial experience gained in the energy industry. Demonstrable experience of working in a commercially focussed and complex business environment. The ability to demonstrate strong economic, market and financial skills, as well as identify and maximise commercial opportunities. Awareness of the strengths and weaknesses of the competition and ability to capitalise on this knowledge. Full UK driving licence. It would be great if you had Experience of developing strategies for maximising market opportunities recognising the diverse and rapidly changing nature of the marketplace. The ability to manage multi-dimensional risk and complex industry and market mechanisms and drive all associated complexities of new business development. Experience of complex risk management knowledge and judgement to ensure growth targets are achieved. The ability to create and develop new value building propositions to broaden the base value base delivered through key third parties.
