JOB PURPOSE:
C A Design Services Limited (CADS) are seeking a full-time Accounts Assistant for a hybrid
position based in Great Yarmouth.
The Accounts Assistant will support the finance team by managing day-to-day bookkeeping,
maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and
reporting deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, proficiency in
Sage 50 accounting software and excellent Excel skills, contributing to the efficient and
effective financial operations of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Bookkeeping duties.
2. Maintain both sales and purchase ledger.
3. Accounts payable – reviewing and posting invoices and preparing payment runs.
4. Accounts receivable - raising sales invoices and credit control.
5. Resolving customer and supplier queries.
6. Reconciling credit card statements.
7. Staff expense management.
8. Assisting in the month-end process.
9. Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns
10. Ad hoc reporting and support as required.
11. Provide cover within the finance team.
12. Working closely with the finance manager to ensure a seamless accounts function.
PERSONAL PROFILE
1. AAT qualified or qualified with experience within an accounts department.
2. Good Sage 50 and Excel skills.
3. A can-do attitude and team player.
4. Methodical, organised, and accurate while maintaining complete discretion.
5. Good communication skills both written and verbal.
