We are recruiting for the latest member of our Supplier Relationship Management Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and commercially minded individual to join us as a Supplier Relationship Senior Consultant during an exciting period of transformation and investment within the team.

You will be joining the Group Procurement and Supplier Management Team working alongside our Category Leads and Procurement Advisors. We work closely with all teams across the Society ensuring adherence to our Supplier Management Policy and Framework. The role will involve collaboration with suppliers, second line teams, and internal stakeholders across all levels.
This role is essential in ensuring we can strategically derive value from our supplier relationships, comply with our regulatory requirements, identify and mitigate supplier risks, and evidence long term value for our members. This role plays a key part in our overall supplier management journey, providing support, guidance and challenge to our colleagues and suppliers.

What Will You Be Doing?
1. Working closely with key stakeholders to embed our new SRM framework.
2. Providing comprehensive support throughout the lifecycle of third-party arrangements, including onboarding, ongoing management, and exit strategies.
3. Ensuring all processes meet the required standards and comply with relevant regulations.
4. Raising awareness of best practices and compliance requirements across the business in relation to third parties.
5. Highlighting areas of noncompliance or concern, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks.
6. Being the primary contact for certain centrally managed third parties and ensuring consistency and compliance with standards.
7. Identifying and driving value add activities and cost savings opportunities through improved procurement practices.
What Do We Need From You?
1. Demonstrable experience of ongoing supplier and risk management.
2. A strong understanding of Procurement and Supplier Management processes, best practice, and risk frameworks.
3. A proven track record of adding value to Supplier Relationships with a strong ability to engage, influence and work in partnership with stakeholders at all levels.
4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, issues and recommend actions.
5. The ability to confidently present data in a meaningful and effective way, tailoring the approach to suit the audience.
6. Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
7. You will have the ability to role model the Society’s behaviours (Be accountable, Be curious, Be collaborative, and be Brave) and demonstrate a standard of skills and behaviours to which adds value to the Procurement & SRM team.
