The recently launched ESRC Network+ for Analytical Behavioural Science for Security and Defence (NABS+) is looking to appoint a full-time events operations officer. Working as part of a wider team, and under the direction of the Project Manager, the events operations officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of network events from small roundtables, skills workshops to an international conference at the end of the grant.
NABS+ brings together academia, government and industry to deliver the next generation of behavioural and social science to deal with the most pressing security and defence challenges. Commissioned by the ESRC, NABS+ will enable world-leading academics, policy makers, practitioners, and industry representatives to come together and work on emerging issues. The events operations officer will be required to communicate with a range of stakeholders and work with the wider management team from Bath, Cardiff and Edinburgh Universities to execute an engaging and diverse events agenda.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the delivery of network events including small roundtables, skills workshops, and an international conference.
2. Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
3. Collaborate with the management team from Bath, Cardiff, and Edinburgh Universities.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Substantial event management experience.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Experience in building and developing relationships with internal and external contacts.
The post is fixed term until 31 March 2027 and is available immediately. The interview will be held online using Microsoft Teams.
