Specific Duties Civil project Engineer will join Design teams, supported by your development plan and coaching from other staff, specific duties include: RESPONSIBILITIES: Gaining ongoing experience in civil engineering and infrastructure development. Developing skills in liaising with stakeholders, local authorities, and highway officers. Producing layouts and technical reports for land appraisals and working drawings. Undertake Commission site investigations, topographical surveys, and other assessments. Briefing engineering consultants on design scopes, including roads, sewers, drainage, retaining walls, and foundation designs. Negotiating with statutory bodies and utility undertakers on engineering issues. Provide engineering information to Commercial, Construction, and Sales departments. Manage fee negotiations and consultant appointments. Address technical queries. Comply with Health, Safety, and Environment policies. Act as the technical lead on projects as and when required. Review drawings and documentation. Undertake analysis and design using hand calculations or software like Tedds. Ensure that the quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports, calculations, etc.) are always maintained. Liaise with and lead other members of the design team to achieve a coordinated design solution that meets the client’s objectives. Developing civil deliverables including layout, outline design drawings, constructability assessment, risk assessment, and project programme. Produce outline work packages and scope of work documents for contractors to provide pricing. Prepare project capital cost, energy savings calculations, and financial evaluations. Liaise with client stakeholders and attend regular client project meetings. Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of entire project terms and technical requirements. Assist in improving operations, decreasing turnaround times, streamlining work processes, and working cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless customer service. Deliver other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: 3 years of post-graduate experience nearing professionally qualified status Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering Full clean driving license Candidates should have private sector experience and a working knowledge in the use of Civils3D, together with Micro-drainage, Autocad and Autotrack (vehicle swept path analysis) Good report writing skills in English. Knowledge of Excel, Word and Publisher. General Duties as follows: To update the company’s work monitoring systems with accurate details Assist in improving operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service Sales and business development General office duties Minimum Qualifications: Engineering degree preferably in chemical, mechanical or electrical Working knowledge of one or more energy-saving technologies such as gas engine/gas turbine CHP, steam and hot water systems, chillers, solar PV, wind turbines, heat pumps, battery storage, BEMS, LED Lighting, and Variable Speed Drives Strong communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong team-working skills Eligible to work in the UK Desirable Qualifications/Experience: Masters or other further study related to energy solutions and compliance e.g. Bioenergy, Energy Economics and Policy, Energy Storage, Renewable Energy, Low Carbon Technologies Previous work experience of energy related or field engineer work Experience with safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project regulations, practices, and codes Personal Attributes: The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and have a flexible approach to work.
