Crane Operator (Full Time)

Summary: Assembles rigging to lift and move equipment or material in manufacturing plant, shipyard, or on construction project by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Has practical knowledge of Regulatory Compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations.
2. Assumes responsibility of organizing, planning and prioritizing work.
3. Assumes responsibility of inspecting equipment, structures and/or material.
4. Ensures that routine maintenance is performed on equipment per manufacturers recommendations.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: One to two years related experience and/or training. Holds a certified Riggers card or has adequate knowledge to obtain one.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
