Child Mentor
Location: Blackburn
Salary: up to £110 a day
Job Overview:
Sennen Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Mentor to support pupils students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs and diverse needs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support students who are unable to attend mainstream schooling, helping them engage with their studies through tailored and accessible lessons and being a postive role model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish meaningful connections with students.
- Provide academic assistance along with helping children build confidence and reach their full potential
- Foster a positive and motivating learning environment.
- Act as a role model and mentor for personal development.
- Possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student.
To be considered for this role you must have the following:
- Minimum 6 months experience working with children in UK
- Right to work in the UK
- Engaging, positive and reliable.
Safeguarding children is at the heart of what we do and we undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current, enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process.
