Revenues Officer
Location: Borehamwood / Hybrid
Rate: £26.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Job Description:
A local authority is seeking an interim Revenues Officer to join its Council Tax Billing Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate assessment of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and assess Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims accurately and efficiently.
Handle enquiries from the public regarding Council Tax, Benefits, and Council Tax Support.
Administer Council Tax and National Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR).
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to resolve queries.
Requirements:
Previous experience in Local Government.
Strong knowledge and experience in Council Tax administration.
Experience in National Non-Domestic Rating (NNDR) administration.
Familiarity with Housing Benefits and Council Tax Support.
Excellent customer service and communication skills
