Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking for an exciting challenge in the energy sector? A leading tier 1 civil engineering contractor is seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee a new substation build in Crossaig, Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a pivotal infrastructure development in the renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead all commercial and contractual aspects of the substation project.
* Oversee project costs, budgets, and financial forecasting to ensure profitability.
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
* Manage risk, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
* Prepare and present detailed project reports, including cost analysis, to senior management.
* Ensure the project stays on track financially, managing variations and mitigating potential disputes.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
* Strong background in contract management, including NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of substation or renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
