Job Title: Teaching and Learning Administrator (Temporary)
Location: Near Euston Station, London
Duration: 8 weeks
Start date: 10th March 2025 - potential to be extended
Pay rate: £18.88-£21.68 per hour (PAYE, Inside IR35 - Full time role 36.5 hours a week)
Main Purpose of the Job: Under the direction of the Teaching and Learning Manager and Senior Teaching and Learning Administrator, the postholder will provide specialist administration to the designated teaching programmes. This role ensures effective procedures are documented and adopted for dealing with all aspects of its administration. The postholder will assist in achieving a high-quality and timely service to current and prospective students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle enquiries related to entry requirements and enrolment.
Assist in recruitment initiatives and publicity, including Open Day events.
Coordinate start of session arrangements and registration of new students.
Manage the departmental timetable and room bookings.
Process and coordinate teaching materials and maintain course content on Moodle.
Act as a first point of contact for students and maintain student records.
Provide support for exam-related tasks and service examination boards.
Produce results reports and service relevant committees.
Provide administrative support and cover for colleagues during busy periods.Person Specification:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including Mathematics and English Language) or equivalent.
Administrative work experience in a busy office environment.
Experience in higher/further education or a teaching and learning environment.
Computer literate, including Word, Excel, Outlook, email, and internet.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of people.
Ability to prioritise and organise workload, work under pressure, and meet time-critical schedules.
