We are working with them on an exciting opportunity to head up the accounts and audit function. This position works closely with, and reports directly to, the three partners. We are looking for someone to make a long-term commitment to the firm, and there are real opportunities for career progression, including to director/shareholder level.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Oversee the Accounts function, managing the accounts department staff workloads and job allocations
2. Planning individual accounts work
3. Reviewing staff work
4. Corresponding with clients
5. Managing and organising Charity Accounts reporting, including audit
6. Involvement with a small amount of audit planning and audit work on trading companies
7. Production of financial statements for small to medium sized businesses with tax computations and provisions included
8. Take on workload from the partners as required, especially in sending accounts to clients
9. Assisting with ad hoc advisory work, including dividend planning and cash flow models
10. Meeting and onboarding new clients
11. Attend training events to further develop skills and knowledge as required
12. Communicating departmental matters with partners and staff
