Rate: £12.44 per hour if directly employed or £16.00 per hour if self-employed (increasing to £13.21 per hour if directly employed or £17.00 per hour if self-employed on 1st April 2025)
Hours: 7 hours per week - 8.30am to 3.30pm on Mondays

A young person living in the Castle Donington area requires support with enjoying their hobbies from a Personal Assistant.
Role Requirements
You will be required to take the client out for the day, for example to the farm.
They enjoy going to the farm as they love animals, they also like cars, the cinema, discos, music, cooking and swimming (they get in and out of the pool with assistance).
You must have your own vehicle and full, clean, driving licence. Mileage payable of £9 per week.

3. Smith-Lemi-Opriz Syndrome and associated learning disabilities
4. Focal epilepsy - they take medication and the condition is under control with no seizures for several years
Use of a disabled toilet is required however they don’t like the door to be locked so you would need to stand outside whilst the toilet is being used. They also need to rest their legs whilst walking so periodic breaks will be required.
The client uses vocal communication and Makaton. If they go out they will need help as they cannot read and write. The client can become frustrated when they are not understood however they do not exhibit challenging behaviours.
