Job Opportunity: Process Technician (Chemical Manufacturing) Location: Doncaster Salary: £31,366 Overtime, Bonus and other Benefits Sector: Chemical Manufacturing We are currently working with a leading manufacturer in the chemical industry to recruit an experienced Process Technician for their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the production process while ensuring product quality, safety, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Manufacture products according to the relevant Production Record Sheets, completing any necessary in-process testing. Oversee the receipt and inspection of raw materials and packaging, ensuring they meet quality standards and are stored appropriately. Support the Team Leader by acting as a key point of contact for colleagues, other Team Leaders, and management during the shift. Ensure the weekly production plan is adhered to, with all targets met and production demands satisfied. Work closely with the Logistics team to manage raw materials and packaging, ensuring a seamless flow of production. Contribute to problem-solving efforts in your area of expertise and support the introduction of new products and plant modifications. Ensure finished products are packaged according to customer specifications and ready for transportation. Adhere to all company and statutory Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements at all times. Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Assist with maintenance tasks and troubleshoot issues with equipment as required. In the absence of the Team Leader, ensure a thorough handover to the next shift, assist with incident investigations, and provide support with colleague training. Take ownership of shift team performance and ensure operations run smoothly throughout your shift. Skills & Experience Required: Strong knowledge and experience in operating chemical plant equipment for the manufacturing of products, including chemical reactions and blending processes. Advanced understanding of at least one major plant process or similar industrial process. A strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow strict safety protocols. Experience in working to high operational standards and ensuring compliance with procedures. A genuine desire to train, develop, and mentor colleagues. High attention to detail, with the ability to solve problems and manage tasks effectively. Numerate, with the ability to interpret and report on production data. Self-motivated and able to work independently with a high level of personal integrity. Basic experience with laboratory testing, including pH and viscosity testing.
