We have a Social Work Training and Workforce Development team responsible for the provision of comprehensive programmes of learning and development for our Adult, Children's and Justice Social Work Service workforce.
As a dynamic and forward-thinking Training and Workforce Development Team, we are offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled individual to join our well-established team.
We seek to fill a permanent, full-time Training Officer position focused on Social Work Adult Services workforce development. Priority tasks include the delivery of learning and development programmes for Locality and Older People Social Work Services, which includes a focus on Outcomes Focused Assessment, Reablement, Self-Directed Support, and Introduction to Liquid Logic, our Social Work Service Information Management Adults System (LAS). The postholder is also required to contribute to the delivery of accredited Moving and Handling of People and Behavioural Support Strategies (BSS) training.
You will be expected to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate training in collaboration with services and colleagues within the training and workforce development team.
There is a requirement to facilitate multi-agency Public Protection informed and skilled training and opportunities to support our ambitions towards having a Trauma Informed workforce.
You will be based in The Foundry, Larbert. You will be required to deliver training in various locations across the Falkirk Council area.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A degree or equivalent level qualification or experience in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing.
2. Experience of working in care and community settings within Social Work Services.
3. Knowledge of Community Care and Adult Support and Protection legislation.
4. Recognised Moving and Handling of People and Behavioural Support Strategies Instructor qualifications (or willingness to achieve these once in post).
