About us: Finatal is partnered with a high-growth biopharmaceutical company. This role is integral to support a rapidly growing organization based in Cambridge, UK, through strategic IT system management and enhancement. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various business functions, external IT support partners, and vendors to ensure IT systems align with regulatory standards and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
System Management:
* Maintain, upgrade, and optimize business systems, including eQMS (Dot Compliance), Business Central, and Dotmatics.
* Serve as the internal lead for Finance, HR, and other business systems, ensuring alignment with business needs.
* Oversee system architecture and integrations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as SOX and GxP.
Support and Improvement:
* Deliver 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support for business systems.
* Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
* Provide training to internal users and ensure awareness of cybersecurity and operational risks.
Compliance and Documentation:
* Ensure IT systems are fit for purpose and meet compliance requirements.
* Develop system documentation, Business Impact Assessments (BIA), continuity plans, and test plans.
* Manage change control, release planning, and system validation, including UAT.
Stakeholder and Partner Engagement:
* Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver business capabilities.
* Act as the escalation point for technical issues and manage third-party IT support relationships.
Strategic Contribution:
* Participate in IT budgeting and planning for system projects.
* Shape IT strategies in collaboration with the Head of IT and business leaders, particularly in the greenfield quality system landscape.
Ideal Profile
Experience:
* 5+ years in IT Systems/Business Analysis, or as an IT Systems Manager.
* Proven track record in life sciences, including regulatory-controlled IT systems.
* Familiarity with startup or scale-up environments is beneficial.
* Experience with cloud-based, no-code approaches and tools like Power BI is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
* Expertise in eQMS, RDMS, eTMF, and LMS systems.
* Knowledge of the ITIL framework and IT system lifecycle management.
* Proficiency in creating SOPs, IT computer system documentation, and system validation testing.
* Familiarity with IT systems for biotech/pharma industries.
