Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a large Derbyshire based construction group as they look to bring in a new Operations Management Accountant to join their finance team.
As the Management Accountant for one of their specialist manufacturing facilities you will present and interpret accounting information for a section of Group companies to enable management to make effective business decisions. It will be a varied role with duties to include: -
1. To produce accurate job costing information
2. To maintain accurate Work in Progress records
3. To maintain accurate stock records and standard costing schedules
4. To produce the management report and accounts ahead of board meetings for information to be interpreted
5. Supervision of one ledger clerk
6. To produce operating and cash flow forecasts for consolidation by the Group Management Accountant
7. Any other related duties associated with this position
To be successful you will possess the following skills and experiences: -
8. CIMA/ ACCA Qualified although Qualified by Experience will also be considered
9. Manufacturing sector experience is highly desirable
10. Attention to detail
11. Good knowledge of accounting policies and procedures
12. Strong Excel skills and a passion for working with and analysing data to provide insightful management information
13. Some experience in VAT would be an advantage.
14. Experience in month end and year end financial processing
15. Strong communication skills
16. Able to work well in a team
17. Ability to identify and resolve issues
18. Pro-active
19. High level of organisational skills and ability to work to and achieve by agreed timetable
