The Junior School are currently recruiting for After School and Holiday Club Practitioners to join the ePlus department on a permanent basis. The positions are available immediately (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). Hours of work will be between 1.30pm and 6.00pm or 3.00pm and 6.00pm (depending on site) Monday to Friday during term time and on a rota basis (26.25 hours) during holiday periods. A degree of flexibility is required in this role. It would be desirable if the applicant can work 5 days, Monday-Friday, however they will still be considered if they can work 4 consecutive days. Unqualified After School and Holiday Club Practitioners will be paid on ESMS e-Plus Scale point 8-11 (£11.44 - £11.79 per hour). Qualified After School and Holiday Club Practitioners will be paid on ESMS e-Plus Scale point 13-16 (£12.56 - £12.95 per hour). The role is based at either the Ravelston or Queensferry Road site.
The purpose of the After School and Holiday Club Practitioner role is to provide full care for children attending the After School Club and Holiday Club, ensuring a safe, engaging, and fun environment. Key duties include supervising and interacting with children, planning and preparing activities, and maintaining a safe and tidy play area. The role also involves liaising with parents, contributing to activity planning, and supervising children during outings.
The successful candidate will be a kind, enthusiastic, and responsible individual who prioritises the interests of children and works well within a team. They will have experience working with children, possess or be willing to work towards a recognised childcare qualification, and demonstrate strong organisational skills.
