We are looking for an experienced administrator with strong leadership skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As the Licensing Administration Supervisor, you will oversee the licensing administration team, ensuring the efficient processing of applications for alcohol, civic government, taxi/private hire, gambling, and other statutory licenses. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, provide guidance to staff and stakeholders, and contribute to service improvements. Key responsibilities include: Supervise and support a team handling licensing applications, renewals, and variations. Ensure compliance with Scottish licensing laws and Council policies. Monitor workloads, allocate tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently. Provide guidance and training to staff on licensing laws and procedures. Act as the main point of contact for escalated queries and complaints. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Police Scotland, NHS, and Fire Services. Prepare reports, statistics, and performance data for senior management and committees. Oversee financial processes related to licensing fees. Continuously review and improve licensing procedures. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team and play a key role in ensuring fair and compliant licensing processes.
