About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children with a range of additional learning needs, providing tailored support both in and outside the classroom. Your role will involve:
•Supporting children in accessing the curriculum and participating in physical education and other school activities.
•Promoting inclusion and helping children develop both academically and socially.
•Creating a positive, encouraging environment that fosters self-confidence and independence.
•Using sports and physical activity as a tool to engage, motivate, and develop essential life skills in the children you work with.
What We’re Looking For:
•A passion for sports: Whether it’s team sports, outdoor activities, or personal fitness, you’ll bring energy and creativity to your role by incorporating sport into learning.
•Experience working with children: Previous experience supporting children with additional learning needs (ALN) is highly desirable, but not essential. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key.
•A positive, patient, and proactive attitude: You’ll need to build strong, supportive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
•Excellent communication skills: The ability to clearly communicate with children, teachers, and other staff members.
