Working hours: Full or part-time working patterns available with no late night working
Experience level: Open to both newly qualified and experienced Optometrists who are registered with the GOC

Specsavers in Ammanford is looking for an ambitious and talented Optometrist to join their thriving store.We have a wonderful team in place who all pull together and create an amazing working enviroment. Ammanford benefits from having easy access to M4, as well as being located on the Heart of Wales train line and is easily commutable from Swansea within 40 minutes.Plus we also have our sister storein Carmarthen, so if you fancy working across both practices for a more diverse caseload and change of scenery then this is also possible.
Our soon to be rebranded establishment hosts 4 full size test rooms, 3 of which are on ground floor level. The practice is appointed with modern technical diagnostic equipment; perfect for those seeking clinical advancement, utilising higher accreditations or those hoping to attain an equity shareholding in the future.

In October 2023, a new contract for the delivery of eye care services in the community came into force in Wales - Wales General Opthalmic Services (WGOS). Under the new regulataions, optometrirsts will be able to fully utilse their professional higher accreditations when delivering eye care at primary level.
