An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Coordinator to assist with the provision of day to day maintenance and statutory compliance services across Growth Company Estates within Yorkshire.
Our Maintenance Operatives provide front-line maintenance to all Growth Company (GC) properties, helping to ensure our staff, students, and visitors have an efficient, effective, and safe working environment.
This role will require regular travel around Yorkshire; you must hold a UK Driving Licence and your own vehicle for this position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out site assessments to cover Maintenance, Health & Safety and Facilities areas and statutory compliance tests.
2. Resolve premises issues using own building maintenance knowledge and technical ability.
3. Undertake unsupervised specialist checks and tests of building services installations and systems, including Legionella ACOP L8 water-safe management conformity and testing of building fire detection systems and equipment for compliance with the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order.
4. Identify building fabric and services defects, diagnose faults, and produce schedules of works and specifications for effective repairs.
5. Conduct weekly Health and Safety site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with governing statutory regulations.
6. Be the first contact for Out of Hours emergencies and call outs at all Growth Company premises, attending sites to evaluate damages or necessary security breaches when on call.
7. Update current call logging systems and maintenance compliance records, maintaining accurate and timely information on the status of issues/resolutions/sites.
8. Order and manage equipment and consumables as required.
9. Liaise, instruct, and manage third-party suppliers to resolve minor issues.
10. Support the management of office moves/changes as required by the business.
About you
1. Previous experience in a facilities management or maintenance role is desirable.
2. Experience dealing with third-party suppliers and contractors.
3. Strong customer focus.
4. Flexible attitude to role and hours.
5. Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.

Experience Required
1. Good understanding of H&S compliance tests/checks.
2. Strong problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision.
4. Ability to assist with moving office desking & furniture during minor office moves.
5. Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required.
6. Ability to undertake routine checks and tests of building services installations and systems.
7. Full driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use.
8. Good attention to detail and ensuring that jobs get finished properly.
9. Ability to plan and manage minor work tasks to time and within budget.
10. Good written and oral communication skills.
11. Ability to effectively organise own work.
