Salary: £12 per hour - working mornings, afternoons & evenings, including weekends and bank holidays
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Supreme Guarding Services Ltd is an S.I.A Approved contractor which specialises in the provision of security solutions, facilities management & services, catering and properties management within the UK.
The role: We are looking for “Kitchen Team Members” to be based on site at designated emergency accommodation sites. Help us prepare, cook and serve our mouth-watering meals to the hotel residents with no chef experience needed as full training will be provided.
Your primary responsibilities will include food heating, customer service, allergy awareness, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Previous experience working in a similar setting would be preferable but not essential as full training will be provided prior to starting. Our training package will allow you to perform the following duties:
* Heat and prepare food items according to established recipes and guidelines.
* Ensure all food items are cooked and served at the appropriate temperatures.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
* Handle dietary restrictions and allergies with utmost care, ensuring proper food handling and preparation to prevent cross-contamination.
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene practices, following catering Level 2 standards.
* Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of equipment, chemicals, and waste disposal.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff members to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.
* Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and storage organisation.
* Monitor and report any issues or malfunctions of kitchen equipment to the Head Chef.
* Participate in training programs and continuous professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Role Criteria
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment would be an advantage.
* Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, with a minimum certification of catering Level 2 preferred, not essential as this will be part of your training package.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining diligence.
* Excellent communication and people skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
* Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Awareness of allergies and dietary restrictions, and ability to manage them appropriately.
Requirements:
You will need to provide proof of your right to work, such as a UK passport, EU settlement number, UK work visa, or a full UK birth certificate.
