Hills Group have an opportunity for a Credit Control Manager to join our team based at our head office in Swindon. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on skills and experience alongside a great range of benefits, including:

About the role:
As our Credit Control Manager, reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will oversee the credit control process for each of the Hills’ group of companies. Your responsibilities will include managing the credit control team, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, minimising credit risk, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. You will also develop and implement credit control policies and procedures to improve cash flow and reduce bad debts.
Your key responsibilities as our Credit Control Manager will include:
* Manage and lead the credit control team, providing guidance, training and support.
* Conduct credit checks on new and existing clients to assess credit worthiness and determine appropriate credit limits within credit insurance policy constraints.
* Liaise with other departments and managers, such as sales and finance, to ensure smooth credit control operations and handle escalated credit control issues and disputes, resolving them in a timely and professional manner.
* Identify opportunities for process and systems improvements and implement best practices to enhance credit control efficiency.
* Negotiate plans and settlements with clients to resolve outstanding debts.
* Prepare and present regular reports on credit control performance to senior management and manage the departments involvement in the annual financial audit.
What we’re looking for in our Credit Control Manager:
* Professional certification in credit management (CICM)
* Previous experience within credit control, with direct experience in a managerial role.
* Strong understanding of credit control principles and practices.
* Comfortable working to deadlines and time sensitive pressures.
* Proficient in using credit control software and Microsoft Office applications.
