The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of health care to patients who present to the nurse led Minor injuries service within the Accident and Emergency Department where theywill work within an agreed scope of practice.
You will be working autonomously in a fast-paced environment and part of a multi-disciplinary team which is supportive and open.
You will be part of a team which is encouraged to be innovative and shape the service to departmental demands.

Working autonomously to manage own caseload of patients whilst working as part of the multidisciplinary team
To assess through examination, investigate, make a diagnosis, treat and
discharge patients, whilst identifying their physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual and cultural needs.
To act as a patient advocate when relevant, and be able to educate on all
treatment options to enable a patient to make an informed choice.
Develop excellent clinical governance through involvement in multidisciplinary clinical audit ensuring evidence-based practice is undertaken, participating in essence of care nursing audit.
Maintain adequate patient records and ensure all relevant information is
documented in patient notes.

To act as an autonomous practitioner in the care and management of patients with minor injuries attending the Emergency Department at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
