Role Description
The Resonate Agency is seeking a talented Assistant Radio Producer for BBC Asian Network to join our growing team. This is a part-time (2/3 days per week), on-site role located in Birmingham. Please be located in or close to Birmingham. You will work closely with senior producers, editors, and radio presenters to produce a music-driven show on the station.
The ideal candidate will have strong production skills and a deep passion for South Asian music. Having established connections within the South Asian music scene is highly advantageous, as you will help bring fresh perspectives, tracks, and insights to the shows.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the production of music-driven radio shows for BBC Asian Network
* Collaborate with senior producers and radio talent to deliver high-quality, engaging content
* Stay current with trends in South Asian music
* Contribute creative ideas and fresh approaches to enhance the show's appeal
Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in audio production, radio production, and online content creation
* In-depth knowledge of South Asian music and familiarity with the wider music landscape
* Connections within the South Asian music industry are highly desirable
* Understanding of BBC Asian Network programming and its audience
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
