We have an opportunity for an Experienced Management Accountant, ideally from an engineering manufacturing industry background. The successful candidate will be required to work on site at Oakham office.
Overall Job Purpose:
Managing all Finance tasks for the sister company, Cabel, providing periodical reporting and ad hoc analysis as required.
Key Accountabilities & Main Responsibilities:
1. Compiling company financial accounts at month end, year-end and audit, ensuring financial information is timely, accurate, and complies with the relevant accounting standards, legal regulations, and Group guidelines and deadlines.
2. Manage month end reporting, provisions and journals.
3. Responsible for bank reconciliations, cash flow management, VAT returns, Intrastat and Office of National Statistic updates.
4. Maintain the asset register and lease contracts.
5. Manage the renewal of insurance policies, ensuring comprehensive business cover and competitive pricing.
6. Manage Credit Control and Purchase Ledger, resolving queries relating to correct processing of invoices, authorisation of purchase orders, pricing and credit notes and goods/services received and accuracy of inventory, ensuring timely collections and payments.
7. Assign appropriate credit terms for new and existing customers with credit agency checks, releasing sales orders after checking customer accounts are up to date and within credit limits.
8. Ongoing analysis of financial records, process improvements and implementation of adequate financial controls in line with Audit requirements.
9. Support the Senior Management Team in forecasting and budgeting product costs and sales margin in ongoing and periodic business plans.
10. Provide analysis of Product and Customer Profitability, advising where margins have been eroded with additional operation costs or lower sales prices offered.

* Familiarity with production orders, Bills of Material, man and machine hours per batch (routings), variance analysis.
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of MS office products.
* Able to communicate at all levels.
* Full UK driving license.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Accounting qualifications – AAT / Part-Qualified Accountant
* Previous experience of working in mechanical engineering manufacturing industry.

Candidate must live within a reasonable commute of Oakham, Rutland - no longer than 60 minute commute. This role does not offer full time 'hybrid working' as it is important to be onsite.
