An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world-leading defence organisation as a Definition Draughtsperson/CAD Modeller. This organisation develops complex weapons and systems and is Europe's number one in its field. You will be joining a diverse and expanding team that plays a vital role within the Mechanical Engineering department.

In this role, you will contribute to a variety of projects at different stages of the product lifecycle. You'll work closely with skilled engineers to create technical definitions for cutting-edge weapon systems and make the most of 3D CAD capabilities to drive efficiencies in the modelling process. The team supports flexible working and offers excellent site facilities, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
1. Translate design intent from 3D models into high-quality 2D/3D definitions (preferably using CREO).
2. Produce robust parametric models to improve definition efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Generate detailed engineering drawings with strong attention to detail.
4. Evaluate 3D models for quality and provide feedback (experience in 3D annotations is advantageous).
5. Collaborate across domestic and international teams to ensure consistent design standards.
6. Adhere to industry standards such as BS8888, ISO 1101, and ISO 5459, applying GD&T principles.

Qualifications & Experiences
1. HND/HNC or equivalent in a relevant mechanical design discipline.
2. Extensive experience in mechanical design definition.
3. Proficiency in 3D modelling and engineering drawing production.
4. Familiarity with GD&T and technical product documentation standards.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.

Job Title: CAD Modeller
Location: Stevenage
Salary: Circa £48,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
Working: Hybrid (2–3 days per week on-site)
